Dome of The Rock

So, this morning, some friends and I set our alarms and headed out to the Temple Mount at precisely opening hour. And it was WELL WORTH IT. Got some incredible shots, was able to see the wailing wall up close (and sneak a photo or two,) and just relish the architecture. Regardless of how you view the Dome of he Rock/Temple Mount, etc, this building is iconic and is definitely one of the major landmarks of the city. The Temple Mount really is like its own little mini world once you’ve passed through the extensive security. Anyways, the sunlight was amazing, the photos turned out awesome, and I’d like to consider myself maybe a tad bit more cultured after experiencing this.

  1. the pics are beautiful…so are the days. What a sight, where the temple(s) was first built. Soooo much OT history..sure dont understand how the Dome of the Rock ended up on the Temple Mount, am looking forward to learning more about how that happened.
